Program Objectives:
Distinguish among the following: a group, a team and a high performing team.
Identify the stages of team development and how to move the team from one stage to the next focusing upon both relationships and performance.
Determine the role of effective team leadership by focusing on how to prevent and resolve five common team dilemmas.
This program will discuss practical approaches and concepts for developing effective teams. The focus will be on techniques to improve performance as a whole making sure each member's qualities and skills benefit the group. The role of team leaders will be defined. Challenges will be discussed and ways to prevent and resolve conflicts will be explained.
Continuing Education:
Nursing, ACHE (healthcare executives), ADA/CBDM (dietary managers), ADA/CDR (dietitians), CPHQ/NAHQ (quality), and ISM (materials managers).
