Who We Are

Shared Health Services Corporation (SHSC) is a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) owned by seven hospitals in the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Western Region. Corporation oversight is provided by a board of directors consisting of representatives from each of the owner hospitals and the SHSC executive director.

Shared Health Services Corporation was established in 1971. In 1996, SHSC joined Intalere's affiliate network to market the national GPO's supplier contract portfolio and special cost-savings to healthcare members. 

In 2004, SHSC began extending savings opportunities to member public/private schools.  

In 2013, the SHSC board of directors elected to rebrand the corporation's operations as Shared Purchasing Solutions (SPS) to better embrace the corporate goal of providing cost-saving solutions to our members through shared purchasing opportunities. 

Today, SPS enhances members’ financial and operational effectiveness though the implementation of superior contracts, both national and regional, and strategic alliances among members.
